Why can't my computer recognize this NVMe SSD?
1. Ensure your M.2 slot supports the NVMe protocol (PCIe).2. Enter the BIOS and ensure the M.2 mode is set to NVMe or PCIe (not SATA).3. Poor contact of the gold fingers during installation can sometimes cause the device to be unrecognizable.
Why is the actual displayed capacity less than the advertised 512GB?
Manufacturers use 1GB = 1000MB, while the system uses 1GB = 1024MB. SSDs reserve some space (OP) for maintenance and performance. Windows displaying approximately 476GB is standard and not a quality issue.
Can PCIe Gen3 and Gen4 drives be mixed and matched? What will the speed be like?
Yes, but it will be backward compatible. A Gen4 drive installed in a Gen3 slot will be backward compatible to Gen3 speeds. A Gen3 drive installed in a Gen4 slot will run at its full Gen3 speed.
